Recently, kitchen designers, TaylorMade By Stanton based in Herefordshire, completed a project using Fritz Fryer pendant lights here in our home town of Ross-on-Wye.
The homeowners came along to the showroom to view our handmade lighting in the flesh and fell in love with the Ledbury family of lights. The simple dome glass shades make the perfect addition to a kitchen, especially when hung over a kitchen island or table.
As the space was so large and needed a lot of light, they chose the Ledbury Lantern Pendant with a 3 way centre in the communal area and a whopping four XL clear glass Ledbury pendants over the Kitchen Island. These lights were complimented by Adjustable reading lights with Clear Ledbury shades on the walls, adding that additional layer of functional lighting. The adjustable reading lights can be set in a multitude of positions and were used here to provide an uplight to light the walls and ceilings and create a beautiful ambient light. Positioning the glass shades in the upturned setting transforms the purpose of the wall light.
The bronze metal finish of the pendant lights and wall lights makes a beautiful contrast to the natural wood of the kitchen and a gentle duck egg blue wall paint further compliments the scheme. This supremely elegant room has such a simple yet sophisticated feel, the perfect place for cooking and entertaining, whether sipping champagne or making a cuppa, what a beautiful kitchen to be in.
The overall scheme is a beautiful example of a Shaker kitchen in an enviable farmhouse conversion.
